PhotoReading Method

PhotoReading is a revolutionary way of speed reading. It is a commercial product that is distributed through home courses and seminars provided by the Learning Strategies Corporation.

The idea is that the reader enters a state of accelerated learning through hypnosis. Then he or she will view the table of contents, index and other material to understand the structure of the book.

Once an understanding of the book has been achieved, the reader stares at the pages and flips through them at the rate of a few seconds per page. Up to a day later, the reader will recall all he or she can, to create mental maps and trying to understand what the book is about.

To fill in any missed parts, the reader will go through the book using techniques like skittering (reading paragraphs at angles). Sometimes normal reading can be used on important paragraphs.

The whole process involves many process not commonly used like peripheral vision and sub-conscious learning. No other reading method is like it except maybe the Zig-Zag Speed Reading Method.
