The Hop Speed Reading Method
The hop is similar to Sweep Speed Reading, but instead of sweeping a cupped hand over each line as the reader follows, this method is about reading blocks of text and jumping to each next block.
A student should choose a rate that is pressing, but comfortable. 3-10 words at a time, then jump to the next. This method is great for keeping a steady pace.
The arm muscle should always be the one doing the guiding, a reader should not use the wrist to jump to each block of text as this can produce injury.
